The bride and her family provided most of the props and containers for this wedding, which was a nice personal touch. I really enjoyed the synergy that happened between their vision and my ideas. For the entry area I rented an antique mirror from
Mancino Iron, which perfectly echoed the venue's aesthetic.
Palm Door is a renovated loft-style building, and I can't wait to work there again.

The bride created the terrarium centerpieces shown below, with vintage ceramic figurines nestled into the succulents! I love these.
For the sign-in table we used a mix of lab glass and vintage pieces.
The ceremony area was set with a screen with votives flanked by two clusters of flowers and plants. Materials include birdnest ferns, succulents, alocasia, and tillandsia plants, wasp nests, spanish and reindeer moss, orange pincushions, kangaroo paw, red blooming passionvine, and mini pineapples.
The very long bar was flanked by two large arrangements and 3 clusters of modern glass votive holders with lab glass and plant materials.
I forgot to include this in the last post about the personal flowers-a fascinator pin for the bride to attach to her dress at the hip where the skirt gathered. Real ranunculus!
A fun and unusual bridal shower tablescape that I created the flowers for - each guest gets a different plate and glass for each gourmet mini-course served in a friend's dining room. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland in the most delightful way. Pics of the BBQ-infused wedding coming soon.

It's starting to feel like summer around here. And these colors seem perfect for an early summer outside wedding. Local succulents mixed with billy buttons, pincushions, ranunculus, Green Trick dianthus, koala fern and peacock feathers.

When the bride saw her bouquet, she said, "Don't take this the wrong way, but it looks like Jim Henson made it. That's greaaaaat!" Feathers, tillandsia and kangaroo paw are all the ingredients.
I've been participating in a few photoshoots lately, and I'm waiting on pins and needles to see all the images. Here's a bouquet that went out for one that has coconut bark, pincushion proteas, grevillia and orange amaryllis.
I'm hoping bluebonnets make a come-back in cut arrangements. They look super fresh mixed here with viburnum. Grow your own next year in your front yard from seed and you can cut all you want!
