coral, shells and orchid display at sabia

In need of a little pick-me-up? Swing by the yummy-smelling Sabia natural apothecary and skincare purveyor at Orchard and 5th Streets and sample some of their wonderful products. I recently began delivering a weekly arrangement and monthly plant installation for their new soothing and sophisticated space. There's also a floral demonstration in the works for early summer at Sabia... check back for more details!

The always-wonderful Suzi at Q Weddings posted this image on her blog recently. If you want to see some more seriously beautiful photography check out her website and blog. Thanks Suzi!

french-infused bbq reception

Beignets and coffee set the perfect post-bbq tone at this reception at The Salt Lick. Yum!

cedar arch ceremony by the river

The Salt Lick Restaurant makes my favorite barbeque, so you can image how excited I was to both set up and attend a wedding there this weekend. The day was cool, perfectly breezy, lightly cloudy and rare for this time of May in Texas.

white, green and grey bouquet with a passion...

...with a passionflower that is. The passionflower vine I ordered this week came in loaded with just the right color of blooms for this bouquet. It's mixed with tiny tillandsia plants, dusty miller, white peonies, ranunculus and sweet peas. And of course some passionvine tendrils.

heavenly pink garden roses

A very sweet pink wedding with Rosalind garden roses mixed with pink Majolika sprays, succulents and orchids.

garden party bridal shower

A fun and unusual bridal shower tablescape that I created the flowers for - each guest gets a different plate and glass for each gourmet mini-course served in a friend's dining room. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland in the most delightful way. Pics of the BBQ-infused wedding coming soon.

unbridaled photoshoot with sherry hammonds

I showed a sneak peek of one of the bouquets I created for this photoshoot a while back, but run over to Sherry Hammonds's blog and check out these outrageously urban and Austiny shots for my fav boutique Unbridaled. I'm so lucky to work with such amazing peeps!

peacock feathers with yellow and green

It's starting to feel like summer around here. And these colors seem perfect for an early summer outside wedding. Local succulents mixed with billy buttons, pincushions, ranunculus, Green Trick dianthus, koala fern and peacock feathers.
